This detective's desk is a personal project I made as part of my CV. Originally the papers had my personal info, work history, etc... on them with the idea or story being that I am a detective, looking for a job (instead of a criminal). For the purpose of this post I changed up the papers with detective style images. The biggest challenge was not having a single reference to work from. Instead I used a bunch of references and combined them to fit my needs and wants. The main focus was creating a realistic yet moody atmosphere, while still staying true to my idea of the image represeting me. For example, I did not add an ashtray or cigarette because I don't smoke.
